MY STORY & PHILOSOPHY

Hello!

My name is Marjut Riihimäki and I'm a visual designer with a focus on abstract art and ceramics. I've been working with unconventional painting techniques and ceramics since 2008 when I started my art studies at Pekka Halonen Academy. As an artist I really enjoy trusting my intuition during the creative process while creating art. With each new piece the level of surprise is the key thing for me and it keeps me motivated. It's somehow meditative for me to see how the colors and shapes I've chosen react and eventually blend with each other. The beauty comes through the process - I wish you enjoy the results as much as I loved creating them!
